the relationship between music and psychology
I just take the psychology course and music course during the first semester of my freshman year. And as I make up a research about factors effecting human emotions, I just find out that the music do effect us a lot through our life time. The instructor of my psychology course told us that the environment could effect and then change human behavior through many ways. One of those ways is media which include television, radio, etc. And music is definitely a crucial part of all kinds of media. So how actually music effect our emotions & behaviors? Firstly, through the rhythm. In the music class, the instructor said that there ar different instruments which have different tone color that could be dark, brightly, or sth else. When we listen to different music, we will be effected by kinds of rhythm naturally since we were born. Some will make us happy, but some can't be tolerated. Secondly, through the lyrics which include some hints of language and culture. Lyrics is a way to express the feeling of the singer, and also could remind the memory of the same experiences that the audience endured. So lyrics will effect us through the way that language and culture do. thats all what I mean 2 talk about..
