Pick one of the careers we gave you below, then imagine that you are an expert in that field and you need to say someting about your career. Write one paragraph, and do not forget to include the elements of paragraphs that we have learned in class (e.g. topic sentence, examples and thesis statement)

Vitamin D Deficiency
Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin, and Vitamin D is essential for good health. 7.BANK CONSULTANT
ReplyDeleteMost people must think the job of bank consultants is boring because they are always dealing with others’ money and just calculating on their own desk. It is misunderstanding. A bank consultant needs an excellent communication skill. We have to talk with our clients often and derive their implied needs which even they do not notice by themselves from our small conversation. When we recognize their needs, then we persuade them what is the most beneficial. Because bank consultants deal with clients’ personal information, we must get their trust and build good relationship with them. I am really proud of my job, bank consultant and I want to let people know how the work is interesting.
Natsumi, you should mark elements in your paragraph, same as we shown you in examples.

ReplyDeleteThere are several skills you need to be a lawyer.(general statement) Good communication skills, able to argue reasonably, know the tricks of the law, and just basically know the laws. As a lawyer i would fight some of the laws that are enforced today and some of the rights that are violated everyday by these laws. I would also do it just to spite the government for fun.(limited background information)As a lawyer you get to pick your own cases and if you win you get lots of money.(Thesis statement of intent)
5. Pilot
ReplyDeletePilot is a cool job and is admired by most people. (General statement) To be a pilot, it is not an easy thing. You must be chose from the thousands of candidates first. You need to join health exam. It doesn’t mean you can to be a pilot if you have a healthy body. There are too many strict qualification, such as age blow 20, height from 165-178 for male, weight above 50 kilogram for male and eyesight 1.0 and so on. After you are qualified to participating training class, you still need to be picked up again. Most people are eliminated in this process because they can’t endure so cruel training such as spin exercise. (Limited background information) However, pilot is still popular and more and more people choose it not only male but also female. (Thesis statement of intent)
2. Travel guide
ReplyDeleteMany people think that travel guide is a really easy and unskillful job. But in fact, I think travel guide is one of the hardest jobs that I have ever had, and required much more different skills than other jobs. (General statement) To be a travel guide, people should satisfy many requires. (Limited background information) Firstly, a travel guide should be healthy which means could walk miles with travelers or climb the mountains with travelers. Secondly, a travel guide should be sociable and sophisticated, as there could be tough travelers who are ridiculous unreasonable. Thirdly, a travel guide should be both a “map” and a “history book”. He should know the history about a country, and a place, even a coffee shop near the scenic spot. Also he will give directions when a traveler wants to do some shopping or even want to go to a restroom. Do you still think that is a easy and unskillful job now? I don't think so.(Thesis statement of intent)
interior designer
ReplyDeleteinterior designing is the act is the of designing the inside of a building.(general statement)interior designing is a specialized aspect of architecture.a lot of people think u must be good in fine art to become an interior designer but thats not true(limited background information).an interior designer should be quite creative, he should be good in calculation and should be able to utilize the space he is given properly.(theses statement)
Elementary school teacher
ReplyDeleteElementary school teacher is the teacher who teach the primary classes. this job is important for us because many reasons (General statement). first, elementary school teacher is teaching the children the basics for all subjects. Second, he/she has more work than the upper grade classes because the teacher needs to find new methods to teach the children, also he should be patient and make sure that all children get the points in easy and interesting ways (limited background). So, the job for teaching consider one of the hardest jobs (thesis statement )
